As long as I can remember, I’ve found myself intrigued by people as a subject. Just creating art featuring what people do, from day to day, or doing something I relate to, such as musical performance. The works become more than just a portrait — I use all the elements of the creative process to create the work as art, not just a ‘picture of someone’. This is true with commissions as well as paintings I create from scratch.
